Open Studio

Wednesdays noon until 2 PM Artists who are thinking of participating in The Awakenings Project are welcome to join us for a "drop-in" art-making session. If drawing or painting is not your thing, you can journal, write essays, poetry, your autobiography, short stories, or novels. You’ll love the Awakenings' Artists & Writer's Workshop! Come if you can, stay as long (or short) as you’d like, feel free to draw, paint or write in your own inimitable style, read to a supportive audience only if you want to. The workshop is held at The Awakenings Project Studio.

Reaching Out

The Awakenings Project led art-making groups at theDuPage Convalescent Center.  The groups were project-oriented, and each member of the group created a functional and beautiful piece of artwork with a little help from Awakenings. Currently on hiatus, while we focus on working on art projects with inpatients at Elgin Mental Health Center.
