The MOST RECENT Awakenings Review, Fall 2012 issue is still available. Order your copy(ies) NOW from the orders/subscriptions page on this website. Obviously, we are behind on Vol 6. Num. 2, which will be the Summer 2014 issueof The Awakenings Review, because we've been busy working on the first ever and NOW released CD of Music and Poetry by Awakenings artists. If you would like to order a copy, please let us know via our Contact Us page. They are $10 each, plus $5 Shipping & Handling. We accept checks via snail-mail or online payments via PayPal. Thanks! July 31 - August 21, 2014 Elgin Art Lofts Gallery, Elgin, IL
Peter Hallock Austin, Elgin Art Lofts resident, has invited Awakenings artists to join him in his exhibit at the Elgin Art Lofts Gallery. It is a great big, beautiful space, and we will attempt to help him fill it with fabulous artwork. Opening reception will be from 6 PM to 9 PM on Saturday, August 2nd.
August 23rd and 24th, Glen Ellyn Festival of the Arts - The 45th Annual Festival of the Arts will feature Awakenings along with many other non-profit organizations and over 80 other locally and nationally known artists.
October 5 - October 26 Burning Bush Gallery, Wheaton, IL
Thanks once again to Tony Asta and Bill Austin of Gary United Methodist Church for inviting us to return to their newly renovated and beautiful gallery space. Our opening reception will be from 1 - 4 PM on Sunday, October 5th, and we will also host a poetry and music night, date and time To be announced soon.
(Tentatively) Glitch Gallery, Elmhurst IL
We've been invited by author, Roz Long, to have an exhibition to showcase her new book, "Creative Journey of Bi-Polar Disorder," from which a percentage of the proceeds will generously be donated to The Awakenings Project.
Date to be announced, (tentative) Check back for more details if/when they become available about a possible show in the main area of The Gail Borden Library in Elgin.
